These are our festive hours for 2023, wishing all our customers and friends a magickal festive period and a happy and love filled 2024.
This will see us heading into our 10th year of trading. When I opened Nemetona in 2014 my vision was to not only offer a retail and therapy space for your spiritual needs, but also a safe space to seek solace, receive free advice, support and comfort before returning to the stresses of modern life.
I've been honoured that so many have entrusted me to guide, support and comfort them through difficult times; many of you becoming supporters of Nemetona but also cherished friends.
Nemetona has navigated some very challenging periods over the years including Brexit, COVID and now a cost of living crisis. The shopping landscape has dramatically changed. The Pandemic has changed shopping habits irrevocably.
These last 9 months have seen a dramatic slump in High Street shopping. This combined with rising product and utility costs has put small businesses under extreme operational pressure. I have tried to maintain a positive outlook and space for everyone. Not sharing my concerns has been extremely challenging.
In an effort to mitigate the unsustainable pressures mentioned above I have today committed to shutting the Therapy and Event side of the business, and handing that section of the building back to our landlords on 31st December.
I hope that by doing this I can reduce overheads and allow the retail part of Nemetona to continue into 2024. I will make every effort to adapt our space to support the needs of our community. However this will not be possible if trade doesn't pickup during the weeks before we close on 24th December.
I sincerely hope I don't have to close the doors in 2024, but this is now a situation out with my control.
I trust you can all appreciate how difficult it was to write this post, but felt it only fair to keep all my loyal customers and friends updated on the current situation facing the business.
